Why Energy Therapy?

Every action requires an investment of your energy. However, where you invest your energy doesn’t always add value to your well-being.

Where your attention goes, your energy flows. That’s why we now live in an attention economy. We are bombarded with demands for our most valuable human resources of attention and energy. How are you spending yours? Saving it, investing it, leaking it? What’s it costing you and are you getting a return on your investment?

It’s common to get caught in cycles of diminishing returns. When we feel low and depleted, we tend to seek comfort or highs in temporary pleasures or dopamine hits from stimulants, shopping, spending, social media, s*x……..

None of these things are bad but when we use them to pacify, mask, or avoid the underlying cause of our low energy, we end up in cycles of depletion. Your energy can only ever come from within.

Energy Therapy is like tuning an instrument or a radio to a pure and clear tone or signal. As you experience inner clarity and wholeness, your external world harmonises with that symphony of love, peace, joy, and freedom.

Your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual being is all vibrating energy that has a frequency. This vibration and frequency can be influenced positively and negatively.

Energy Therapy works by channelling high vibrational energy through the practitioner’s hands into the recipient’s body and energy field. This energy activates the natural healing process and supports states of peace, joy, and abundance.

I highly recommend booking ‘Love & Wisdom’ for your first treatment. This 2 hour session allows for an in-depth consultation, card reading and energy healing, fully supporting your alignment back to peace

As everything is energy, energy therapy works on everything! No matter what your personal concern or goal, energy therapy can support you.

From physical injury to mental stress, emotional overwhelm to life purpose, intuitive ability and soul path, energy therapy supports and elevates every aspect of life and being.

Before your treatment, I will pre-meditate on your energy and intuit how the session can best support you. We’ll begin with a chat and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like. This is a hugely beneficial part of the healing process. This allows your thoughts and feelings to be expressed, witnessed, acknowledged, and accepted without judgment.

This also informs my approach to the treatment, tailoring the session to best support your current, unique needs. As you lay down on the treatment table, fully clothed under a blanket, I will cover your eyes with a soft mask and play gentle background music to aid relaxation as you drift into a restful state. I might use plant or wood smoke, incense, essential oils, aura sprays, sound bowls, crystals, or tuning forks in your energy field at the beginning and end of your treatment.

Throughout the treatment, I will gently lay my hands on and over specific energy centres on your body, receiving the energetic information that’s present and transmitting what is most supportive.

By the end of your treatment, you should feel aligned, centred, and grounded with an overall sense of peace, clarity, calm, and often, bliss.

You’re welcome to take the opportunity to drift into sleep, most clients report feeling as though they’ve drifted off yet are still aware. This is the brainwave state that occurs when you’re drifting off to sleep and feel suspended in a dream-like state.

Receiving the energy in this state of relaxation, you can experience visions, messages, colours, and memories, or simply drift off completely.

In your body, you can experience changes in temperature, tingling, numbness, twitching, changes in heart rate or breathing.

You may feel the emotional release of any emotions that are in your system.

It is also common to feel a connection to something greater, the higher realms of energy and consciousness. It’s possible to feel temporarily “out of body” or as though your body is not present.

Or, you may feel none of these. There is no right or wrong, good or bad. You and your energy are safe and protected and any sensations you experience are simply a result of energy moving in your system.

There is no preparation needed for your session. If it is your first visit, you will receive a short consultation form in advance. This will give me an insight into how I can best support you on the day.  

Please dress comfortably. Depending on the season or your activity prior to treatment, you may want to bring items like an extra top or socks as your body temperature can drop during the session. You will lay on a heated massage bed under a thick fleece blanket during the treatment.

Immediately after their session, most clients feel a deep sense of peace and relaxation. My preference for clients is that they schedule some downtime after their session to enjoy the energy, remain present with the experience and integrate the benefits.

As energy affects everyone differently, only you can know if you feel comfortable returning to everyday tasks like work or driving immediately after your session.

There are a couple of nice neighbourhood cafes close by and the Grand Canal offers a pleasant walk if you feel you need to ground in nature, your senses, and the present moment.

To optimise the benefits of your session and support your ongoing well-being, I recommend the following aftercare practices:

 

  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water following your session to help facilitate the flow of energy and promote detoxification.

 

  • Rest and Relaxation: Allow yourself some downtime after the session to integrate the healing energies. Engage in activities that promote relaxation and rest, such as taking a gentle walk in nature, meditating, or enjoying a warm bath.

 

  1. Self-Reflection: Take a few moments to reflect on any insights or experiences that arose during the session. Journaling or simply quiet contemplation can help you process and integrate the healing energies on a deeper level.

 

  1. Gentle Movement: Engage in gentle movement or stretching exercises to help keep the energy flowing smoothly throughout your body. This can include practices like yoga, tai chi, or gentle stretching.

 

  1. Self-Care Practices: Engage in self-care activities that nourish your body, mind, and spirit. This can include practicing self-love and self-compassion, engaging in activities that bring you joy, or spending time in nature.

 

  1. Grounding: Spend time connecting with the earth to ground and anchor the healing energies. Walking barefoot on grass or soil, gardening, or simply sitting with your feet on the ground can help establish a sense of stability and balance.

 

  1. Pay Attention to Your Body: Tune in to your body and notice any subtle shifts or changes that may occur in the days following the session. Honour any signals or messages your body may be sending you and respond accordingly.

 

  1. Follow-Up Sessions: Consider scheduling regular follow-up sessions to maintain the benefits of energy therapy. Consistency can help reinforce the positive effects and support your ongoing well-being.

Yes. As with most things, if we wish to experience greater and more lasting benefits, consistency is key. Though you will feel the positive effects and benefits after a single session, a course of treatments yields deeper, lasting results.

Your first session might involve more talking or energy clearing and releasing. Subsequent sessions allow for the fine tuning that brings transformational shifts.

I continually see clients experience the greatest impact when receiving weekly treatments with at least 4 weekly sessions recommended to begin with.

You might find monthly maintenance sessions are an excellent way to return to harmony and balance.

The consistency of regular treatments creates an energetic resonance that supports a life of ease and flow and greater peace, joy, and abundance. Maintaining equilibrium is preferable if possible.

Unexpected or specific life events, illness or challenges can increase a need for additional therapeutic support. These instances commonly benefit from weekly treatments to offer maximum support.

Yes. Everything is energy. Just as you are a mass of vibrating atoms that can absorb energy so can the atoms that comprise any form of matter. Places have a feeling or an energetic vibration that we perceive through our senses. That vibration can be altered.

Your energy therapy session can be conducted online over Zoom for your convenience. Online sessions generally provide maximum comfort for people with disability. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email in advance to discuss the most supportive way to conduct your session.

Yes, a bundle package is highly recommended. Bundles offer you great value with a €40 reduction on a 4 x one hour treatment package and a €30 reduction on a 3 x one hour treatment package.

Yes. When choosing your health insurance provider, enquire about available benefits for Reiki treatments. Not all providers cover Reiki and some cover treatments as part of policy add-on packages.  

If you’re entitled to claim for Reiki, please book Reiki as your treatment. Receipts can be directly emailed to you on request.

Lightworks Energy Therapy is in Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6 (you can view the exact location – here).

However, you can receive your session online wherever you are.

Harold’s Cross is centrally located in Dublin with the city centre’s Grafton Street only 2km away and the M50 only 5km away.

Metered on-street parking is available and I can supply a free parking permit if requested.

The nearest bus stop is a two-minute walk and serviced by Dublin Bus routes 9, 16, 49 and 54a.

The nearest Luas stop on the Green Line at Charlemont is a 15 minute walk along the leafy canal.

Yes. You can book an online session from anywhere in the world. Please book the “Zoom Session” option for your chosen treatment. If this option is not listed, please write “Zoom” in the booking notes.

Yes. Energy Healing is beneficial for babies and children of all ages. Depending on the child’s age or condition, distance healing might be preferred.

If attending an in-person session, children under 16 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

While energy healing is a safe, gentle, non-invasive treatment, individuals with certain medical conditions or taking certain medications may need additional support or considerations.

Individuals with severe mental health conditions, heart conditions or pacemakers, epilepsy, recent surgeries, or are prescribed insulin, heart, or thyroid medications, should consult the energy practitioner or their healthcare provider before receiving healing to formulate the best treatment plan.

No, is not associated with any specific religious belief.

As energy therapy heals the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being, it is a spiritual practice in the sense that it works with the body’s energy and the idea of a life force, but it is not derived from or affiliated with any faith.

Yes. Sessions can either be conducted online or in absentia. Permission is always necessary from the recipient.

If the person is an infant or non-compos mentis, I will ask their permission energetically before proceeding. Space, time, and distance are no barriers to healing as it occurs at a quantum level.
